Lush damaged review.

Last week my heart soared when I saw the Lush shops in Manchester have received the Oxford Street exclusive items. I'm going to London in October but I feared for my bank balance! My lovely best friend kindly bought me the comforter shower gel, which smells like unicorns and sparkles! But seriously it reminds me of the Christmas shower gel snow fairy, I find the sweet smell lasts longer on the skin and I love sweet smells so it has now become a firm favourite.

What really excited me was the hot oil treatments, I think there is one for kinky hair and maybe frizzy hair. But it was the damaged one for me! It's like the hot chocolate on a stick where you pop it in a cup of hot water and stir it until melted. The smell was really pleasant and soon enough I slapped it all over my dry hair. I left it on for a while as my hair had been feeling really frazzled, in need of a trim and frizzy. After washing it out and drying my hair I can barely describe how impressed I was. My hair felt silky smooth, this lasted for a couple of days and I kept encouraging my boyfriend to stoke it and he said it felt like kittens. I assume this was true or he could just be trying to shut me up! But yea, this is defo worth a buy for anyone who needs a boost for dull, tired locks and I will be definitely stocking up on this. Anyone of the Oxford Street exclusives you're excited to try?? I think my next one will be the flamingo bubble bar on the stick!

Superdrug's limited edition sweet shop range review!

I'm a sucker for anything smelling like old fashioned sweets and when I saw Superdrug had done a range involving sweet smells I grabbed every single item. Everything was 99p and this is why I love Superdrug so much. Everything is cheap, cruelty free and awesome!

First up is the pear drop shampoo and conditioner. This is what first caught my eye as I love the smell of pears. This is a very faint scent when I first opened up but after lathering it on my hair it smelt gorgeous, also I kept catching whifts of it throughout the day which was lovely. I usually only use moisturizing shampoos and conditioners but this one left my hair feeling squeeky clean and in good condition.

The face mask is up next. It's vanilla fudge scented which I found to smell like toffee yogurt so no complaints from me, it smelt good enough to eat! It's a self heating mask so it was lovely and toasty on my face and my skin felt so smooth after. I usually buy the white chocolate mask from Superdrug as their so cheap and don't make my skin break out which is a rarity for me. I feel so pampered using a face mask and this is a lovely treat for the face!
The dry shampoo is the product I've used the least as I prefer to wash my hair. I know I shouldn't wash it so much but it gets greasy so quickly :'( Well I thought there's no harm picking this up and popping it into my bag so whenever I'm late for work or staying at my boyfriends I can just squirt this into my hair. It has a nice, fresh, lemony scent to it.
As you can see the bubblegum shower gel is the product I have used the most. I bloody love bubblegum scented things! This a raspberry bubblegum scented shower gel and the first thing that hits you when you give it a sniff is the raspberry. As I lathered it in the shower the bubblegum came through. Defo worth a purchase if you like sweet, tangy scents. Also a special mention for the packaging of these products. Pastel sweets in the backround, so cute and eye catching!
Another handy one for the handbag this jelly bean body spray is great for a mid day squirt. I couldn't really put an exact scent on jelly beans but it has a lovely sweet scent. All in all Superdrug have really impressed me once again it is easily my favourite drug store on the high street!

Whitby

I have just got back from Whitby and it's just one of my favourite places to be. I went for a couple of days with my boyfriend, we had a fantastic weekend with lots of lovely sun, sea aaaaand chips!

As the photos show the scenery is stunning. There are lots of lovely little quirky, independent shops, I always end up spending a fortune and travelling back to Manchester with about 50 extra bags!

This is us on our most recent trip. We've been 4 times now I think and part of the reason I love it so much is that it's our place. I've only ever been here with Dan and it's now become our place really. Whitby has plenty of shops and a couple of Indian restaurants to keep me happy and more than a few classy boozers to keep us both happy! One of the top pubs is The Little Angel. Such a friendly atmosphere, a lovely beer garden, a great selection of beers and the shots are absolutely lethal.

Whitby is not just a quaint little seaside town. It also has a Gothic side which I adore, it's so awesome with so many people from different walks from life strolling around. The Gothic side comes from Bram Stoker stayed there and got his inspiration for Dracula and it's where Dracula first washes up when he reaches England. There used to be the Dracula shop but sadly closed down but leaves the Dracula experience which is kind of a walk through of the history of Dracula and may have a sneaky vampire pop out at you!

I've always stayed in the same place, the shepherd's purse, as it is so quirky and unique. A walk down a alley way leads into a secret garden. Each room is completely different and a vintage, trinket lovers' dream. I'm not usually into vintagey things but I LOVE this place. The staff are lovely and it's such a treat to just sit in the little chairs in the garden, share a bottle of wine and watch the local people come and go.

I have a Whitby haul to do as I bought some amazing things, it'd be a shame not to share and also a Whitby Superdrug haul as I got a amazing bargain in there! Any seaside towns or gorgeous beaches you would recommend? I love being by the sea, do you?

Hopshopgo and Colourpop!

So this happened today whoops! I've been lusting over the colourpop ultra matte liquid lipsticks for a while now and they are silly cheap, $6 for a lipstick! Give me them all please. They sold out as soon as they where released but I awoke to a restock so thought why not. I picked up 4 of the ultra matte lipstick, a lippie stixx, a blusher and a highlighter.
Unfortunately colourpop don't ship to the UK so I had to go through hopshopgo. I got free shipping from the colourpop website to the US address I was giving. Plenty of people have used hopshopgo like but I'm still super nervous about it all. Thankfully everything's done through paypal so my mind is slightly at ease. Hopefully I will be posting a update soon, can't wait to get my hands on these. And if hopshopgo is a win I've already got my basket at elf ready to checkout!

Peacocks wishlist.

I am so fussy where I buy my clothes from. I love tea dresses, they bring a vintage glamour to everyday dressing and are so flattering. I haven't found many I like out and about but recently I found the shop Peacocks. Now Peacocks has been around for years and years and I never went in, there used to be a Manchester city centre store which I would just pass with a meh! But oh boy I'm glad I decided to look on the site they have tons of tea dresses and they're gorgeous!

This dress was the first one I wowed at. Unfortunately it was out of stock on the site (but I have seen it instore) but I managed to nab it on ebay for £3, woo! I love it, I quickly tried it on before throwing it in the was (cos ya know ebay, I don't know where it had been !) but it is so flattering and true to size. The colour is stunning and the multi coloured bird and feather pattern is so unique.

<This one is numbero uno on my wish list (there's about 10) I love animal print and I think the cream colour would really set off my red, orange ombred hair. Also it would look awesome teamed with a little leather jacket. It's brand new in store and part of Peacocks online exclusive range and at only £12 it's a cheeky steal. It must be mine soon!

Just look at it! I love the floral patterns on tea dresses, so vintage and feminine looking. This one also stands out as slightly different as it has a lace back. When I find a shop I love I tend to only buy from that shop until a sicken myself with (anyone out there like that?!) but I can't see that happening anytime soon with Peacocks. Some of the stuff is a bit meh for me but I'm so ashamed I overlooked this shop! If you like the look of the dresses that I have wish listed go to http://www.peacocks.co.uk/

Coconut oil!

Just a quick post to show my appreciation for coconut oil! I'd seen this used as a makeup remover and thought it would be good for me as my skin breaks out if I use anything on it, and I mean anything :( The first time I used it I thought it was amazing, just rubbed it all over my face and wiped my makeup off and it worked a treat. Leaving my skin all lovely and soft, I thought I'd found my miracle makeup remover. Sadly this is not it. After a couple of days my skin broke out into a spotty, red mess. Funnily the same two patches on either side of my nose, so back to square 1 on that one! BUT this is an actual miracle product. I'm sure I'm late to the party with this one but I use to on my arms and my nails and it has helped with my dry skin and cuticles noticeably in a week. I've also left it in my hair overnight as a conditioner. I have use it on my manky feet and they also look 10 times better.

On the left is a scrub I made, looks gross but my skin felt amazing after using it. I used olive oil, coconut oil and salt, just throwing everything in. The appealed to me as it was easy to make with stuff just lying around my house. Any tips on how to use coconut oil?? I have just discovered it and it seems to have no bounds with how awesome it is :D

About me.

Thought I'd do a wee introduction post as as I've been ever so rude and not done one yet! Hi :D my name's Danielle Morris and I am a 28 year old living in Manchester. I'm originally from Belfast but my parents moved here when I was 5/6 so I've lived in England for the majority of my life. Because I'm with my parents I've kept my accent kinda but it's warped and I've been mistaken for American, Australian, South African and French! On the left is a super posey, filtered selfie of myself as currently I'm in my PJs eating a gold bar (living the dream eh.)

On the right is one of the earliest pictures I can find of me on facebook. I used to be painfully shy and barely wear any makeup just because I wasn't that interested in it. That's all changed now especially the makeup part. As I said in my first post I don't have much spare money so hate wasting money on shite products so I became obsessed with reading beauty blogs and reviews on products I liked the look of. I couldn't find some reviews on stuff I wanted and thought why not start one myself? I love writing and miss doing so since I've left university so here I am!

So far I've only talked about beauty bits and bobs but I'd like my blog to be more of my interests as well which can include food, hair dye, dinosaurs, gaming, horror, books etc etc...if there is anything you would like to see or you think is missing from the internet please coment!?
